There really shouldn’t be a part two to this story but sadly however there is. Yesterday the cop called my mom and said something along the lines of “I had further conversations with the lady down the street and she wants to go on with the Investigation” Mom explained once again we don’t have the money for the and we don’t want to make bad blood with our neighbors. The cop told mom that all the expenses for the investigation would be covered and she didn’t need to worry about that. Well it turns out that the alleged poisoner is the lady’s ex-husband. So then the cop asked what we did with the body and is surprised by the fact that we already buried him (why would anyone not bury a dead body as fast as they can on a 100F day?). At which point mom explained that we would not unbury him. To that the cop said that if she said it was ok for him to dig North up then he would (of course they will return the body when their done not that we really want a dead body). So mom decided that if they really want to know so bad that they would dig him up and pay for everything and stuff then what ever fine they can have the body. When we got home he was gone and now all we can do is wait to see if they lady was right.
Speaking of getting home last night I know I didn’t mention the fact that I owned two dogs but I do. The living one is a small fluffy white rat, he weighs less then ten pounds and is a total energizer bunny everything is the most exciting thing to ever happen to him. Well because of all the stuff going on with North mom decided to tie Buddy up yesterday instead of just letting him run. When we got home he had gotten himself all tangled up as we knew he would. However what we didn’t know he would do is entangle himself on top of a ground hornet’s nest. Mom quickly let him off the leash and backed way so she wouldn’t get stung. He didn’t move from where he was standing. It took both of us talking to him to get him to walk in the right direction of the door (NOT like him at all he normally runs between you and the door six times before you get to it.). He was covered in mud from trying to hide from the bees (did I mention before that we don’t have running water right now and how not cool that is?). We washed him off as best we could in the sink he just looked miserable.
So we called to vet to see what to do about a dog that’s been stung by bees, the vet said to give half an allergy medicine and see if that helps. Well we didn’t have any so we had to drive into town get some and go back home. After we gave him the medicine I was talking to him and petting him when he went back under the chair there was blood on the floor. I’ll spear you the gruesome details but needless to say we called to vet again. He said to bring Buddy in and the vet would give him a shot of fast acting steroids. By this time it’s ten pm from our house to the vet clinic is about 45min.
We took Buddy to the vet, he got the shot, we have pills to give him for the next few days, and everything is going to be a-okay in his little world again.
